Rules and Conditions

The gowns that are donated and consigned must follow our consignment criteria. No gowns with major rips and stains, no gowns purchased prior to 2020, and no gowns that have NOT been cleaned will be accepted for donation or consignment. All gowns to be donated or consigned must have 1 or more images of the gown sent to info@avaclarabridal.com for approval. Ava Clara Couture Bridal reserves the right to accept or decline merchandise.

How Does It Work?

Needed Information

To donate or consign, we need as much information on the gown and purchase as possible. Please include in your email to info@avaclarabridal.com 1 or more images of the gown (stock or personal). Also, please include: The store from which the gown was purchased, the size of the gown, the color of the gown, the height in which the gown was hemmed to (if you shortened the gown), and the purchase price.

How Do I Receive the Money?

Cash is only given back to the person who signs the resale agreement sent in reply to your initial email. The consignor will receive 50% of the total sale amount in cash only. We will contact the consignor once the dress sells and ask if you would like the cash sent to you via mail or if the consignor would like to pick the cash up from the storefront. The amount your gown is sold for is determined by Ava Clara Couture Bridal, but can only be sold at that price with your prior knowledge and agreement. You will get to determine your minimum, but Ava Clara reserves the right to accept or decline the total prior to receiving your gown.

The Duration of Consignment

The length of time in which your donated or consigned dress is on the Ava Clara sales floor is determined by Ava Clara prior to the gown going on the sales floor/signature of the sales agreement. The average duration of the consignments will be five months. Ava Clara reserves the right to end the consignment period at any point, and the consignor must provide two weeks warning if she is interested in taking her gown back.
